Eleven years ago, West Chester Presbyterian Church members began serving free meals on Monday nights to anyone in our community. Families, seniors, children and other community members turn out each week. In 2014, the Faith Alliance began to assist in promoting and serving at this wonderful program.
Currently, an average of 75 patrons are served a hot meal, with a total of 175 meals being served weekly including the take-outs. A variety of individuals are served including those that need to stretch their paychecks, have empty stomachs, or just need a little fellowship.
If you have the gift of hospitality and/or cooking or mentorship, WC Presbyterian would love to have you or your group add onto their schedule for 2018! You can add onto one of the existing groups to help set up, cook and/or serve, OR get a group of 5 or 6 friends to prepare and serve one or more meals on a Monday night. Groups from other churches, employers, schools, or Bible studies are all welcome! Donations of time, financial, food or garden vegetables are also graciously accepted.
To sign up or if you have questions, please contact either Betty Smith at 513-617-8700 OR Susan Chain, at 513-236-6120.
Pastor Tyler Pettigrew and volunteers serve at the weekly Monday Night Communty Suppers hosted by West Chester Presbyterian Church.
