Content Standards

These website content standards apply to any and all material on this site or contributed to our site (contributions), and to any interactive services associated with it.  You must comply with the spirit of the following standards as well as the letter of The Faith Alliance of Southwestern Ohio By-laws and the Vision and Purposes stated therein:

Vision:

Churches will be the catalyst for people in West Chester and Liberty Township to reach beyond them and address the needs of their neighbors.  Working collaboratively, the Faith Alliance can reach people never before reached and open the gates for the Spirit of God to influence change that will impact the community immeasurably more than imagined.

Purpose:

  1. Initially acquaint the people of Liberty Township and West Chester with the love of Christ by proactively connecting them with available resources that meet their basic human and spiritual needs,
  2. Collaboratively empower people and churches to share the love of Christ with the community in ways never seen before,
  3. Support events that are organized for the charitable and/or educational purposes that qualify under section 501(c) 3 of the IRS code, and
  4. Encourage partnering of churches and leveraging of existing efforts and resources by churches in serving the needs of the community..

These standards apply to each part of any contribution as well as to its whole.  Furthermore, any contribution must also comply with the following additional standards:

Contributions must:

* Be accurate (where they state facts).

* Be genuinely held (where they state opinions).

* Comply with applicable law in the Ohio and the United States of America.

Contributions must not:

* Contain any material which is defamatory of any person.

* Contain any material which is obscene, offensive, hateful or inflammatory.

* Promote sexually explicit material.

* Promote violence.

* Promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age.

* Infringe any copyright, database right or trade mark of any other person.

* Be likely to deceive any person.

* Be made in breach of any legal duty owed to a third party, such as a contractual duty or a duty of confidence.

* Promote any illegal activity.

* Be threatening, abuse or invade another´s privacy, or cause annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety.

* Be likely to harass, upset, embarrass alarm or annoy any other person.

* Be used to impersonate any person, or to misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person.

* Give the impression that they emanate from us, if this is not the case.

* Advocate, promote or assist any unlawful, unethical or act such as (by way of example only) copyright infringement or computer misuse.

Institutional Neutrality

In order to maintain its integrity as a Christian organization in service to the entirety of its community, it is critical that The Faith Alliance maintain neutrality in regard to any partisan political activity. The Faith Alliance does not endorse, support or promote any political party or candidate (incumbents or new office seekers; members of their staffs; or campaign representatives) or any partisan political activity.

Further, it is the intent and expectation of The Faith Alliance that all contributors to the Faith Alliance Website, including and especially its Board, Partners, Partner Liaisons and Staff  avoid the submission of any content that could reasonably be interpreted as official Faith Alliance, support, or promotion of political candidates or partisan political activities endorsement. In addition, The Faith Alliance reserves the right to determine when and if to post or withhold from posting any content that in its sole judgement of The Faith Alliance determined to contravene or disregard this necessary position of this neutrality

Nothing in this statement should be construed to limit the right or ability of any Board member, Partner, Staff or other contributor to The Faith Alliance website to express personal opinions or to exercise his or her right to engage in political activities other than where those thoughts, expressions and actions may be misinterpreted as official Faith Alliance endorsement, support, or promotion of political candidates or partisan political activities.

Suspension and Termination

We will determine, in our discretion, whether there has been a breach of this acceptable use policy through your use of our site.  When a breach of this policy has occurred, we may take such action as we deem appropriate.

Failure to comply with this acceptable use policy constitutes a material breach of the terms of website use, Upon which you are permitted to use our site, and may result in our taking all or any of the following actions:

* Immediate, temporary or permanent withdrawal of your right to use our site.

* Immediate, temporary or permanent removal of any posting or material uploaded by you to our site.

* Issue of a warning to you.

* Legal proceedings against you for reimbursement of all costs on an indemnity basis (including, but not limited to, reasonable administrative and legal costs) resulting from the breach.

* Further legal action against you.

* Disclosure of such information to law enforcement authorities as we reasonably feel is necessary.

* We exclude liability for actions taken in response to breaches of this acceptable use policy.  The responses described in this policy are not limited, and we may take any other action we reasonably deem appropriate.

Changes to the acceptable use policy

We may revise this acceptable use policy at any time by amending this page. You are expected to check this page from time to time to take notice of any changes we make, as they are legally binding on you. Some of the provisions contained in this acceptable use policy may also be superseded by provisions or notices published elsewhere on our site.

Use of Content from this Website

The Faith Alliance of Southwest Ohio (the “Faith Alliance”) provides the content on this website (www.thefaithalliance.org), other Faith Alliance Social Media Sites, and third-party sites on which it maintains a presence in support of its mission for the “increase and diffusion of knowledge.” The Faith Alliance invites visitors to use its online content for personal, educational and other non-commercial purposes. By using the FA Website, you accept and agree to abide by the following terms.

Interactive Features and User-Generated Content

The Faith Alliance provides certain interactive features, such as blogs, for the exchange of ideas and information by visitors in furtherance of its mission. Accordingly, The Faith Alliance encourages you to interact with its site, subject to the following conditions:

* All content submitted must be clearly within the bounds of the Faith Alliance Vision, Mission and Core Values of the Faith Alliance.

* You are solely responsible for the content that you submit.

* By posting content, you are giving The Faith Alliance and those authorized by The Faith Alliance permission to use it for any educational, promotional or other standard purpose.

* You will not post any content that is off-topic, partisan-political, contains personal attacks or expletives, or is otherwise abusive, threatening, unlawful, harassing, discriminatory, libelous, obscene, false, pornographic, or that infringes on the rights of any third party.

You understand that The Faith Alliance assumes no responsibility or liability arising from the posting of your content or for any error, defamation, libel, omission, obscenity, danger or inaccuracy contained in any posted information or from any failure or delay in removing such content.

You will not introduce any software viruses, worms or other programs designed to damage software, hardware or telecommunications equipment.

* You agree that you will not collect information about the users of this website or use such information for any purpose.

* You are not under the age of 13.

The Faith Alliance reserves the right to monitor content or information provided by visitors and deny, edit or remove any content that, in The Faith Alliance’s judgment, does not comply with the foregoing rules. The Faith Alliance is not responsible for any user-generated content that is posted on the FA Website or for any failure or delay in removing such content.

Copyright Complaints

If you have any complaints or objections to Content posted on the FA Website because it was not properly credited or it was posted without permission and you are the copyright owner, please contact the Faith Alliance at webmaster@thefaithalliance.org with your contact information and a link to the relevant Content.

The Faith Alliance may link to third party sites which are not under the control of The Faith Alliance. Links FROM Third Party Sites

Linking is an important feature that facilitates searching and making connections among Website. The Faith Alliance uses outside vendors to provide certain services, such as companies that process credit card transactions for The Faith Alliance. The Faith Alliance may, on occasion, rent or exchange select member name and address information with other charitable or cultural non-profit organizations. Security

The Faith Alliance takes reasonable steps to design and manage our Website technology to ensure that its information technology systems, applications, and information technology infrastructure are secure. The Faith Alliance’s Website are intended to be accessible and enjoyed by general audiences. All content is specifically designed to be “Kid friendly” and any person or persons submitting content for publication to the Faith Alliance website must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
