An estimated 500 attendees of all ages came out to the 2nd Annual “Sing Out Against Poverty” Music Festival presented by Faith Alliance on Saturday, September 30th at The Square at Union Centre. God shined down with weather that was absolutely perfect! We were blessed with beautiful Christian music from four amazing bands, Rain from Saint Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, Zamar from Royal Redeemer Lutheran Church, The Beauty from Ashes Band, and the Crestview Worship Band.
The Faith Alliance is thankful for the support of many event sponsors, including West Chester & Liberty Lifestyle Publishing and Star 93.3 Christian Radio, who sent DJ Julie Pierce to EMCEE the festivities. Many thanks to our other major sponsors including Jimmy Johns Union Centre, Hauser Air, Hillandale Family of Communities, Mueller Roofing Distributors, Walmart, Meijer, Terry Schneeman – Century 21 Homestar, and of course, The Tate Family, without whom this event would not be possible.
The kids had a great time at the Hauser Air Kid Zone and everyone ate for free thanks to Jimmy Johns Union Centre yummy sandwiches and many church donors who made homemade goodies and provided beverages! The FUE-LD Christian Line Dancers, added lots of fun getting the crowd engaged in their own special form of dance.
Many wonderful prizes were won including an overnight for two and dinner at the Holiday Inn Centre Park and an autographed FC Cincinnati Jersey on silent auction! We are grateful to all our many donors who contributed prizes, food, and cash donations to make the event such a success.
To top off the beautiful day, the event netted more than $6,300 to go toward Faith Alliance programs and outreach ministries benefiting neighbors in need.
