The Faith Alliance was recently blessed to receive a grant of $6,000 from the Community Foundation of West Chester and Liberty to be used for their Hunger & Education Programs. This is the second such grant that the Faith Alliance has received from the local Community Foundation.
“We are so thankful for the continued support of our Community Foundation,” says Sue Mahlock, Faith Alliance Director of Outreach. “Their organization has been a wonderful supporter of our programs.” Outreach ministries and programs which will benefit from these funds include Summer Lunch Ministry, Summer Lunch Literacy Program, Feed our Neighbors in Need, and Help a Child in Need Succeed Backpack Ministry to name a few.
Sue recently attended two events put on by the Community Foundation to participate in a Community Needs Assessment. The final report of the assessment, conducted by Ignite Philanthropy, was presented at the Community Foundation’s Leadership through Philanthropy Event in June. Two of the problem areas which came out in the assessment happened to be two areas that the Faith Alliance concentrates their efforts in: Poverty and Education.
Other recent grants which the Faith Alliance is thankful to have received were from: The Presbytery of Cincinnati, The CMA Fund, The Rotary Club of West Chester/Liberty and the Caring Community Collaborative (C3). They are also blessed to receive support from several of church partners.
